Q. Do you sell your fabrics?

A. No, we never sell ANY of our fabrics. We have spent over 20 years accumulating our collection of more than 15,000 fabric prints, most of which are out of print (OOP). Some of our OOP fabrics are valued between $80 to over $200 per yard.

Q. Do you make anything else out of your fabrics, such as curtains, valances...?

A. No, only lamp shades.

Q. Do you offer wholesale or quantity discounts?

A. Our discounts start at orders placed at $1,500 and above.  If you are going to purchase a lot of shades, please email us at Support@LittleBobbyCreations.com for further information about the discount amount.

Q. If I can't find a fabric I like on your website, what are my options?

A. You can send us any fabric and we will make your lamp shade from your fabric. Customers have sent us pillow cases, bed sheets, curtains, clothing & other items made of cotton fabric in an effort to match the theme of a room and bedding in a bedroom.

Q. Where can I find fabrics on my own to send to Little Bobby Creations?

A. You can conduct a fabric theme search on the following websites: www.etsy.com, www.ebay.com, www.joannfabrics.com, www.hancockfabrics.com, www.hobbylobby.com, or any local fabric store. In addition, you can conduct an IMAGE search on www.Google.com for fabrics. For example: search for "Scooby doo cotton fabric" and then click on "images" below the search box.

Q. If I am sending my own fabric, how much fabric should I send?

A. We ask for one yard (36"x44") per shade. Depending on the size of the shade (4x11x7 or 6x10x8 or smaller), we can sometimes make two or more shades from one yard. All larger shades require at least 1 yard per shade. We will return all unused fabrics with your shade.

Q. Where should I send my fabric?

A. Please ship your fabric to: Little Bobby Creations, Attn: Custom Shade Material, 610 West Joliet Street, Crown Point, IN 46307.  (NOTE: If you purchase fabric online, have the material shipped directly to Little Bobby Creations. This will save you time and money.)

Q. What are your shipping methods?

A. We ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Federal Express. Shipping cost are determined by the weight and size of the box the shade is shipped. These cost are determined by the USPS and Federal Express. Smaller shades are shipped Priority Mail and all large shades are shipped via Federal Express.

Q. Do you ship internationally?

A. Yes,  we ship to the UK, Canada, Ireland, France, Australia and may other countries. You will have to complete the order form to determine the shipping fees for your country. We ship all international orders via the USPS.

Q. My lamp shade was damaged during shipping, what should I do?

A. All of our packages are insured. It happens, for some reason the USPS will place a large heavy box on one of our small light boxes and crush the shade. Better yet, instead of returning the package back to us, they always leave the damaged box at the door of our customer.

First, you must take a picture of the damaged box (Photo A). Second, take the lamp shade out of the box and take a picture of both the shade and box together (Photo B).

After taking the pictures, please email them to us with your name and phone number to: Support@LittleBobbyCreations.com. We will reply to your email containing the pictures you send, to let you know we received your email and your new shade is being made.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR
LAMP SHADE SIZE & FITTING TYPE

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHADE SIZE

If you are replacing an existing shade, the size of the shade does not need to be the exact same size as the original, however; your new shade should have the same fitter type (See below).
When shopping for new lamp shades on our site, you'll see shades listed with various measurements. However, all of the measurements are always listed in the following order:

4 (A) x 11 (B) x 7 (C)

A (Distance across top) x B (Distance across bottom) x C (Distance from bottom to the top)

3 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SHADE SIZE vs. LAMP SIZE

1.
Measuring is fairly straight forward. You do not need to buy a lamp shade that's exactly the same size as the one you are replacing.
2.
The height of the lamp shade should be roughly 3/4 of the base of the lamp, and the shades width should extend past the widest part of the lamp base.
3.
Make certain that any new shade extends down (height) far enough to cover all the electrical fittings and the base of the socket cap.

DETERMINE THE FITTING TYPE YOUR LAMP REQUIRES

THE FIVE FITTING TYPES

WASHER-FITTER

This is the most common type of fitting for table and floor lamp shades. The washer fitting attaches to the existing Harp around the light bulb. Once the shade is placed on the harp, a nut or decorative piece is then screwed on to hold the lamp shade in place.

SLIP UNO FITTER

No harp is needed as the wire fitting is permanently attached to the shade. The fitting sets on the socket.

CLIP-ON FITTER

Clip-on lamp shades clip directly onto the light bulb with no additional hardware.

UNTHREADED EURO UNO
FITTER
Usually found on smaller table lamps. No harp is needed as the wire fitting is permanently attached to the shade. The shade attaches directly to the lamp socket.

CLIP-ON FLAME FITTER
Found on smaller accent lamps and chandeliers.
